The Irish Club was officially opened by the Irish Ambassador Brian Muldoon on the
2nd November 2002.
On the 28th July 2008 the current owners
Mick and Vera Desmond took control of the
Club
Since then The Irish Club has been hugely success hosting Fleidh Cheoil and numerous St. Patricks Day celebrations.
Friday and Saturday nights are popular with many of the locals. Whilst every Wednesday night a trivial quiz evening hosted. Darts league occurs on Tuesday nights, and dancing most Monday nights. Every Sunday is a “Bring and Braai”.
And indeed those not lucky enough to be graced with Irish fortune are encouraged to join us and enjoy a bit of "caint craic agus ceoil" (conversation, fun and music) as well as a pint of Guinness or shot of good old Irish Whisky.
